One of the best things about painting is trying new things. Best times are spent sitting and staring in my garden. Yes, sitting and staring. I love to do that. I've painted many images based on my garden. Now, I'm wanting to try more forest stuff. There is nothing more calming than a forest. A glade of trees. A small brook. To be able to look at a painting and feel a sense of calm. Maybe feel like you can almost breathe in fresh air from the woods. Yeah, I'm liking that. So, I'm adding the new works I'm doing. Most of them are larger than I usually do - I'm leaning towards 24"x30" now. Hopefully, with time and experience, I can try a really big canvas. See what I can make of it.
